Wolves may come apon prey by chance, but more likely, they will detect the sent of prey animals on the wind or will follow a scent trail on the ground. Wolves have a superior sense of smell, and when they flare their nostrils, they inhale scent-rich moisture from which they glean important information about their surroundings. COAT FACT:
